I prefer my knits to be from natural materials, this makes them feel good, but to have lycra or spandex, because this gives them 4 way stretch. What I like about this book is it has a great introduction that gives details about fitting doll clothes, choosing doll clothes fabrics, and how to master techniques that are useful when sewing doll clothes.
